Conor McGregor fractured his ankle at the end of the first round of his UFC 264 fight against Dustin Poirier last year. That signalled the beginning of his downfall as McGregor did a lot of bizarre things after that. Michael Chandler also made a bold claim about fighting McGregor.
The Irishman has been working hard on his road to recovery since last year. He has always kept fans updated on his progress, and they couldn’t be happier for Notorious.
Conor McGregor previously revealed that he will not be making his return to the UFC as a lightweight. While speaking to TMZ Sports, Michael Chandler claimed that him fighting Conor McGregor would be the biggest fight in MMA history.
“If Conor’s coming back anytime soon, I think me and Conor would make some fireworks and it’s a fight that fans want to see. I think it’s the biggest fight we can make in mixed martial arts right now and I try to say that as humble as possible but I think it’s a huge fight.”
Conor McGregor is expected to make his UFC return in July this year. We will have to see if he will square off against Michael Chandler in the future or not. Fans would love to see that happen.
