Nate Diaz is one of the biggest names in the world of UFC. The star has had an incredible journey, with a long and insane record to prove it. However, everyone in the UFC has a contract, which is eventually supposed to run out its course. It seems the time for Diaz’s contract to expire is coming up soon.

Diaz has been vocally expressing that he wants to get his final bout in the UFC out of the way as soon as he can. He believes that he’s a hostage in the UFC, because of which he hasn’t been able to explore other options beyond it.

ESPN’s Marc Raimondi released some information on Diaz’s contract on Monday. According to the report, Diaz could have a “sunset clause” on his contract. The report says that Diaz’s contract will reach an expiration “sometime in the fall, potentially before November.”

Dana White has previously stated that he’s been trying to get a match suitable for Diaz. He dismissed the idea that the fighter is being “held” by the UFC. According to the UFC president, the star is free to walk away if he takes too long in finding the UFC superstar a match he deserves.

Nate Diaz has a record of 15-11 UFC, with his overall MMA record being 20-13 MMA. It’s a matter of time before his contract runs its course. While Diaz desires to find other ventures to compete in, seeing him fight his last bout in the UFC would be one for the fans.
