Nate Diaz is certainly one of the most legitimate fighters to have ever stepped foot inside the Octagon. Diaz also has lofty ambitions after retiring from MMA. Dana White is also determined to give Nate Diaz a fight.

At UFC 263, Nate Diaz finally made his return to the Octagon as he squared off against Leon Edwards. Unfortunately for Diaz, his return didn’t quite go the way that he wanted to as Diaz lost the fight. Nate Diaz had also made it clear that he wants to compete in the Octagon again within the next few months.

Many fans also wonder what will become of Nate Diaz in the UFC as he only has one more match left in his contract. It was then said that he is likely to sign a new contract with the UFC.

However, Diaz himself requested his release from the UFC after getting frustrated with the company. In fact, he has called out the UFC on multiple occasions for not giving him fights.

While speaking to MMA Junkie, UFC President Dana White made it clear that he is determined to get Nate Diaz a fight and won’t hold him hostage.

We can’t hold guys hostage. It’s not possible. I owe you three fights a year. If I don’t fight you three times a year, I have to pay you. How can I hold him hostage? What do you think my plans are? I’m going to get him a fight. I don’t know (when). We’ll see what happens. I have to get him three fights a year. I offer fights, and he either accepts them or turns them down. Obviously, I’m not paying him, so I’ve offered him fights.

We will have to wait and see what will become of Nate Diaz and whether he really will end up getting a fight or not. Many fans simply want to see the Stockholm native beat someone up.
