Since Drake is so famous, rumors about him are certainly going to spread, especially if they are fake. Someone started a rumor on Instagram that Drake and members of his entourage were arrested in Sweden after they were allegedly found with marijuana.

The likelihood of Drake and his crew rolling with Mary Jane is not foreign to his fans. Sweden also doesn’t mess around with weed, because they still consider the medicine a “drug.” That snowballed and eventually #FreeDrake appeared on many fans’ timelines. Since most users on social media only fact-check via other social media profiles, few bothered to actually check to see if the 6 God was really locked up in the home of the Muppet’s famous chef. No, he wasn’t, but that didn’t stop the trend from going viral.

The rumor spread like wildfire on Twitter, as people started going wild over the possibility of Drake getting arrested. ‘”Free Drake” began trending as well because of this.

Of course, this rumor has its root in reality as A$AP Rocky was incarcerated on assault charges back in 2019 in Sweden. Donald Trump even threatened big action to get Rocky back. Since Drake is Canadian, we have to wonder what Justin Trudeau would do to get him back. It is likely that Drake is safe and sound, as no one from his camp said anything about this Swedish circumstance.
