Kevin Spacey began his career in the 1980s, and soon found worldwide fame. He has received various accolades throughout his career, including two Academy Awards. His reputation came tumbling down when several men came forward accusing him of sexual assault. This dealt huge damage to Spacey’s career, and it still affects him to this day.

Kevin Spacey entered a not guilty plea to five sexual assault accusations during a hearing at London’s renowned Old Bailey court on Thursday. As a result, a new trial date was set for his case. In the wake of all this, the actor has lost a big paycheck.

According to Variety, the 62-year-old actor has been removed from “1242: Gateway to the West,” a film about Mongolian warrior Genghis Khan, The movie’s producer, Bill Chamberlain confirmed that the actor is being replaced due to the heinous charges he is facing.

Kevin Spacey is popularly known for his roles in American Beauty, The Usual Suspects, Se7en and House Of Cards. In the wake of sexual assault charges Netflix has already cut ties with the actor.  He was removed from last season of House of Cards. It is said a new actor is in negotiations with the streaming giant to replace Spacey.

Also, Spacey’s role as J. Paul Getty in Ridley Scott’s film All the Money in the World (2017) was reshot with Christopher Plummer in his place. It just goes on to show high-profile actors are not immune from facing consequences for their actions.
