Amber Rose is an American model and television personality who first gained attention after she appeared in the music video for Young Jeezy and Kanye West’s single “Put On”. She can be a complete savage when she feels like it. Rose recently shared an interesting take on God, faith and religion.

Rose doesn’t believe that God created our universe, earth, or species. She also doesn’t think that Jesus died in order to atone for our sins, yet she supported Buddhism. On the “It’s Tricky” podcast, the model and TV personality said she prefers the scientific explanation of how humans came to be because it makes more sense to her.

I more so believe in Science than like an invisible entity named God who was like, ‘let there be light.’ It just seems far-fetched to me. I believe that’s crazy, that’s ludicrous. I believe that’s manipulative. I prefer Buddhism because it’s not really a religion; it’s like a philosophy. Just to be a good person. And they accept you for your mistakes.

She is very clear that she is not involved with Scientology, though. At least to her, Rose claimed that science and the theory of evolution are simply more reasonable. She claimed to have attended church as a child, and her mother even warned her about some TV shows because they were associated with “the devil.”

As she’s grew older, she claimed to have more questions about religion than she has answers. Particularly in regards to certain of the Bible stories. Amber explained why Buddhism is more her style than other religions by saying that it is more philosophy than religion, which is exactly up her alley. Check out the video and podcast below.
