Valerie Loureda recently retired from Bellator MMA and decided to fulfil her dream to become a pro wrestler. Now that she’s in WWE, she is ready to make an impact. Loureda was also inspired by Charlotte Flair in a huge way.

Loureda confirmed her exit from MMA and signed a contract with WWE. The 23-year-old will make her Performance Center debut this month. She also made it clear she wants to face Ronda Rousey in the future.

While speaking with Sam Roberts, the former MMA star talked about what made her want to join WWE. Loureda revealed that she was inspired by Charlotte Flair to make her way to the company.

”Yeah, Charlotte Flair is what did it for me. My last fight was in November and in my mind, I was still fighting. Then, I went to WrestleMania — have you guys ever been? It’s just another level. You go in there and you leave different. That’s what changed my mind and I just prayed for this opportunity and it came through.”

Valerie Loureda, at the age of 23, is still in her youth. With a 4-1 MMA record, the sky is truly the limit of for the young star. It remains to be seen how she will fare in WWE.
