Hip hop group Migos composed of Offset, Quavo, and Takeoff have won the hearts of many due to their infectious energy. After Offset unfollowed the other two members of the group on Instagram and the Migos cancelled their scheduled performance at the Governors Ball in New York City earlier this year, there were rumors that the group was splitting up. Quavo recently addressed the future of Migos.

In a recent interview with GQ, Quavo discussed the future of the Migos. He told the outlet that each member must become recognized as unique personalities in order for the group to remain as strong as possible. The remarks coincide with recent speculations that the trio of rappers are splitting up.

It was all about Migos, Migos, Migos. The three of us. I feel like every group member has to establish themselves. Their own body of work. If not, you start losing members.

He continued by giving a football metaphor, saying that he should start concentrating on moves for himself because he has spent his entire career planning plays for the group. “I’m a quarterback in life. But now that I want it, I’m just going to show you.” Quavo mentions that he’d want to work with Chloe x Halle and that he also wants to develop his career as a director.

Quavo spoke candidly about his relationship with Saweetie and the infamous elevator fight footage from 2020 elsewhere in the interview. The rapper for the Migos said he is still irritated by the responses to the video. Check out GQ’s piece on Quavo below.
