Britney Spears has been under a troublesome conservatorship under her father Jamie Spears for almost 13 years but it finally ended back in November 2021 and now her father will be questioned about the conservatorship.
According to TMZ, a judge has decided that Jamie Spears will now be interrogated in court. The decision was made in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Britney’s father and her lawyer, Rosengart have been arguing over this for months. Jamie has insisted on having his attorneys depose his daughter as well.
In that respect, the court was prepared to refuse Britney’s plea to force her deposition, but after hearing arguments, opted to postpone a final judgment until July 27.
The date of Jamie’s deposition is not yet known, Rosengart has been very vocal about asking him to turn up paperwork and respond to inquiries about how the conservatorship was managed while he was in charge.
Rosengart has said that Jamie spent an excessive amount of Brit’s money, in particular. In addition, Rosengart wants to question him about the cameras and listening devices that were put in Britney’s room.
Jamie’s case for Britney’s deposition relies on the notion that she’s made several complaints about how he’s treated her, such as alleging he pushed her into rehab and refused to allow her to marry.
