Jersey Shore remains one of the most well-known reality television shows in the history of entertainment. From 2009 to 2012, every member of the show would live in a house together in New Jersey. The show used to air on MTV and it became a huge part of pop culture in general thanks to the antics of the original cast.

Due to the insane popularity, it isn’t a surprise MTV wants to reboot the show. However, the idea of Jersey Shore 2.0 did not sit well with the original cast and they voiced against it.

This ended up infuriating those at MTV as well. According to TMZ, production for the 2.0 show has already come to a halt less than a week after it began. It was said the new cast of housemates was ready to let loose in Atlantic City, which had cameras, lighting and a security guard ready.

One of the explanations for the delay stated that there was an issue with the cast. Black SUVs and the production equipment were surrounding the house recently but were all taken away eventually.

MTV has only confirmed production has been “paused.” It was also said that the statement issued by the original stars has nothing to do with the pause in production. We’ll keep you updated on this ongoing story.
