Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s relationship with Saffire Matos was revealed in November 2020, but they met in February. Ortiz-Magro and Matos were engaged in June 2021. Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and his fiancée Saffire Matos recently called off their engagement, proving that no relationship is bulletproof.

The Jersey Shore star and the lash techniciancalled it quits and called off their engagement. It was confirmed exclusively to E! News by a source close to Ronnie. After the fact that the two have “a pattern of breaking up and getting back together,” the insider claims that Ronnie stays “level-headed” despite the latest split.

The source notes, “Ron has worked hard on his mental health and has stayed sober.” Ronnie re-posted a series of cryptic quotes on his Instagram Stories on July 6.

“Unfortunately, karma is gonna hit some of y’all for breaking people who had nothing but good intentions for you.”

“I’m proud of my heart. It’s been played, stabbed, cheated, burned and broken, but somehow still works.”

The separation comes one year after Ronnie proposed to Saffire on a beach in Los Angeles. The reality star popped the question with a $150,000 diamond ring. He designed it alongside Layna Friedman Jewelers in Beverly Hills.

“He was very much part of designing it with me and was very involved every step of the way, which was fantastic. He was very thoughtful in picking the diamond and just wanted something really brilliant and gorgeous, and I think we really achieved that.”

A different source close to Ronnie claimed last summer that the Famously Single alum was focused on bettering himself after his arrest in April 2021 on charges of intimate partner abuse with injury. Ronnie has a 4-year-old daughter named Ariana. Later that month, he addressed the arrest on Instagram.

“I take all experiences as lessons… You learn who really cares about you when your down and out and than you see who doesn’t [sic]! But I guess they call it the weeding process. Don’t believe everything you hear or read online.”

Ronnie’s attorneys stated in September that the reality TV personality “satisfied the violation of probation” by completing an in-patient program. He seemed to have been trying to better himself until things took an unexpected turn. Let’s wait and see what happens next. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
