Gregory Itzin is best known by television fans as Vice President Charles Logan in the Fox thriller, “24.” His career spanned decades, starting with an appearance in the 1980 comedy classic, “Airplane!” Sadly, Gregory recently passed away at the age of 74.

The news was shared by Gregory Itzin’s friend, Jon Cassar, via Twitter. He noted that he was one of the most talented actors he ever worked with. Cassar directed several episodes of “24” and remained close with Itzin long after the series was finished.

“My friend Greg Itzin passed away today.He was one of the most talented actors I had the honor to work with, but more than that he was an all around great guy. He’ll be missed by his 24 family who had nothing but love & respect for him. You made your mark, now Rest In Peace friend.”

Gregory Itzin’s career saw him land character roles in a ton of classics. He was the hotel clerk in “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.” He also had parts in “Teen Wolf,” and “Lincoln.”

His television career may be what he is most well-remembered for. Itzin appeared in an endless number of hit shows in bit roles. His most famous work came during his 44-episode run on “24.”

Gregory Itzin is survived by his wife, Judie, and their two children. No cause of death has been shared at this time. Everybody at Thirsty is keeping Mr. Itzin’s family, friends, co-stars, and fans in our thoughts during this difficult time.
