The lengthy legal battle involving Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty appears to be concluded at this point. Despite ongoing legal proceedings against Kenneth, the court has now handed down a punishment. Kenneth Petty has been given an in-home detention sentence of 1 year.

Kenneth Petty has learned his destiny after tense discussions about whether he consciously chose not to register as a sex offender. Petty went to California without registering with the state, which led to legal complications for Nicki Minaj’s spouse.

A sentencing hearing on July 6th put an end to rumors that the prosecution sought severe punishment for the offense. Instead of going to jail, Petty has been given a one-year home detention sentence and three years of probation. Petty must also pay a $55K fine, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

The rapper’s husband allegedly admitted guilt to a decades-old attempted rape accusation and received prison time. In 1995, Jennifer Hough, then 16 years old, reported Petty to the police for sexually assaulting her.

Petty rejected the accusations, but after being found guilty, he was sentenced to four and a half years in prison and was also required to register as a sex offender. Petty admitted admission to the most current accusations brought against him.

Neither Minaj nor Petty has spoken about the news of his conviction yet. However, the court has now officially imposed the punishment. What do you think of the court’s ruling? Stay tuned to Thirsty for more information.
