Nipsey Hussle was tragically gunned down in 2019 near his Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles. Eric Holder was identified as his alleged killer. Now Eric Holder Jr. has been convicted of first-degree murder.

According to James Queally of the Los Angeles Times, the jury rendered a guilty verdict on one count of first-degree murder recently, capping a two-week trial. On March 31, 2019, Holder opened fire on Nipsey Hussle in the South Los Angeles parking lot of the rapper’s The Marathon Clothing store, killing him and injuring two onlookers.

Witnesses claim that Holder’s question about Nipsey calling him a snitch led to the shooting. Bryannita Nicholson, a friend of Holder’s who had been chauffeuring him on the day of the murder, was one of the prosecution’s major witnesses. She explained to the jury that she and Holder were on their way to the nearby Master Burger restaurant in the shopping center when they noticed Nipsey in the parking lot in front of his store.

Nicholson claimed that after getting the lunch, Holder told her to park behind a mall and then pulled a revolver on her. Nicholson asked him to put the gun away, and he urged her to pull into a nearby alley, where he started eating. He quickly got out of the car a short while later and promised to be right back.
