Singer and songwriter Lil Uzi Vert gained mainstream attention after the release of his debut single, “Money Longer.” The twenty-six-year-old rapper has collaborated with some of the game’s most prominent artists, including Nicki Minaj, Kayne West, and the late Juice WRLD. Although Lil Uzi has been doing well, his actions at a recent concert might’ve just turned some fans off from his music.

During last weekend’s U.K. Wireless Festival performance, the Grammy Award nominee allegedly blasted a fan in the crowd with his phone. The fan posted a TikTok video claiming that the phone smashed on her head and left her bloodied.

I am the chick that got her head smashed in by the phone. Yes, there was some damage caused, but the guy got his phone back and everything is being dealt with. And even if I did [move out of the way] it would have hit someone either way, [the phone] wouldn’t hit [the ground] first,

Lil Uzi was the headlining act in this weekend’s already controversial festival. Many music fans on social media blasted those in charge of the festival for letting Chris Brown perform at the show after the hip-hop artist was banned for assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna. Lil Uzi continued to perform despite the incident, even throwing himself into the crowd during one of his other hit songs.
