The “Top Gun: Maverick” star celebrated his birthday on Sunday at the 2022 British Grand Prix, and it seems his birthday luck may have transferred to his “great friend” Lewis Hamilton. Cruise put his buff biceps front and center in a powder blue polo shirt, and he also donned signature aviator sunglasses.
Cruise was one of the first to congratulate the Formula 1 driver after he finished third at his home race over the weekend. Hamilton was heard wishing Cruise “Happy Birthday” as they hugged at the Silverstone Circuit on Cruise’s 60th birthday.
The seven-time world champion lost to Red Bull’s Sergio Perez by only a nose, who finished second. While Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz was declared the winner, and it was the first win of his career.
Cruise, an ardent motorsport fan, told Sky Sports expert Martin Brundle that he’s “always” supported Hamilton.
“He’s a great friend of mine. I hope he has a great day.”
A source informed Page Six that the “Mission: Impossible” actor also chatted with famous chef Gordon Ramsay for a while before witnessing the race in the Mercedes garage with team head, Toto Wolff. One eyewitness also said that Cruise was “super sweet” while talking to “Stranger Things” star Amybeth McNulty.
Besides, Cruise still had a lot to celebrate on his birthday weekend. His last movie, tagged “movie of the summer” has now grossed over $1 billion worldwide. Stay tuned to Thirsty for more updates.
