Ricky Martin has gained a lot of prominence in millions of hearts because of his musical versatility. However, recently, Ricky became involved in a situation that led to legal action. Ricky Martin reportedly received a domestic violence restraining order in Puerto Rico.

Ricky Martin has been charged with domestic abuse in Puerto Rico, though it appeared that the alleged victim may not be his wife. The pop star is currently the subject of a protective order being filed and executed in a municipality close to San Juan, according to numerous Spanish-language media outlets operating in PR, including Telemundo who cited law enforcement officials who confirmed the complaint falls under their Law 54 statute, which addresses domestic violence.

According to TMZ, an unidentified person recently stood before a judge in their own right to request a TRO without first going to the police and without Ricky present. Based on the evidence offered, the order was supposedly granted. The court set the hearing between the two sides for July 21.

According to some accounts, the accused victim is a man, but other stories claim it’s a woman. According to one site that claimed to have seen the documents firsthand, they read in part.

“The parties were related for 7 months. They separated 2 months ago, but the petitioner does not accept the separation. He calls him frequently. In addition, the petitioner has seen him hanging around his residence on at least 3 occasions. The petitioner fears for his safety.”

That most definitely doesn’t sound like Jwan Yosef, Ricky’s husband of five years with whom she has four children. The alleged directive continues, apparently saying about the threat of getting abused.

“The petitioning party demonstrated that there is a substantial possibility of immediate risk of abuse.”

Ricky is apparently required to stay away from this person, including refraining from all communication, until this matter can be resolved in front of a judge as a result of the order reportedly being obtained. Police in Puerto Rico informed the AP on Saturday that they had not yet found Ricky to serve him.

Jwan and Ricky have not yet responded to the reports. Fans will have to wait to see how they will handle this situation. What are your thoughts on this? Check Thirsty frequently for updates.
