Dana White is known to be a very controversial figure when it comes to the proper payment of UFC stars, but you can usually find him around big UFC events. However, it cannot be dismissed that Dana White has made UFC what it is today, as it remains the most popular promotion for MMA in the world right now. For some reason, the UFC’s head honcho was missing this week.
UFC 276 took place this weekend, and it was truly a night worth remembering. It was headlined by Adesanya defending the UFC middleweight title against Jared Cannonier at UFC 276.
UFC held its well-regarded International Fight Week recently, and it featured the UFC Hall Of Fame as well. During Wrestling Observer Radio, UFC correspondent Ryan Frederick revealed that Dana White was mysteriously absent from UFC’s International Fight Week.
For those who are unaware, Dana was not at the show tonight, nor was he at anything this week. So, I hope he’s okay.
There were no explanations about Dana White’s absence, and it is unfair to guess why he was nowhere near the festivities. Either way, it is not like him to miss such important events.
Festivities started for International Fight Week on June 30 with the UFC 276 press conference and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in the T-Mobile Arena. July 1 and 2 saw the UFC X convention and the Anuel show, as well as UFC 276 and the weigh-in the day prior.
It is not known why Dana White was not present for the entire event. We certainly hope everything is alright with him, and it is nothing serious.
