R. Kelly is currently placed inside a detention center in Brooklyn for suicide watch. The disgraced singer was found guilty of multiple sex crimes and sentenced to 30 years in prison.

According to TMZ, Kelly recently filed a lawsuit against MDC Brooklyn f0r damages from emotional distress, claiming they are subjecting him to “cruel and unusual punishment” under the harsh conditions of suicide watch because he’s a celebrity.

The hip hop icon also claims his 8th Amendment rights are being violated because “he is not suicidal and expressly told MDC officials that he was not suicidal and had no thoughts of harming himself or others.”

According to the singer, the single cell he’s currently placed in has no bed rails, no showers, no shaving, no toilet paper. He is also allegedly being forced to eat meals with his hands, and being shut off from loved ones.
