Nina Dobrev made a name for ‘The Vampire Diaries’ and she became a global phenomenon thanks to her role as Katherine Pierce on the show. However, not everything was hunky-dory in her life and the show was responsible for it.
While speaking during a recent episode of Jessica Szohr’s “XOXO” podcast, Nina Dobrev revealed that there was some drama between herself and her boyfriend at the time.
This is because she was selected for ‘The Vampire Diaries,’ but her boyfriend was not chosen for the role of Damon Salvatore. This is because their relationship ended after she got the role.
“They were gonna choose him [for the role of Damon Salvatore]. They ended up not choosing him, but I got cast. And then it got awkward.
We broke up.
Nina Dobrev eventually dated Ian Somerhalder for three years until they split. Dobrev is now dating Shaun White and the two clearly have a whirlwind romance going on. We’ll have to see if the two will end up marrying in the future or not.
