John Cena is a 16-time World Champion and carried the company on his back throughout the PG era. In 2017 John Cena became a part-timer in WWE and since then, he has appeared sporadically due to his busy schedule in Hollywood.
The Peacemaker actor has faced off against the best of the best the pro wrestling world has to offer and that includes The Rock. He also has a lot of respect for The Rock as he followed in his footsteps to become a huge draw in Hollywood.
However, Cena called out The Rock for distancing himself from the WWE in the last. While speaking to Chris Van Vleet, John Cena apologized to The Rock after he made a lot of money in Hollywood.
“From a genuine standpoint, if you’re taking it from more than entertainment, if you’re taking it for ‘Okay, what you said was absolutely personal,’ I’m sorry, I was wrong, and I spoke out of ignorance.”
John Cena recently appeared on Monday Night RAW as well. We’ll have to see when he will be back, as a feud with Austin Theory could certainly happen.
