R. Kelly is currently in prison on a separate federal indictment that includes child pornography, sexual exploitation of children and conspiracy to defraud the U.S. Government. He has been labelled as a predator and even tried to have charges against him dropped. Finally, a verdict has been reached regarding his case.

As previously earlier, the disgraced singer was found guilty on all counts in his federal trial. The disgraced rapper had not been sentenced for those 9 counts of sex crimes. Even his victims spoke out in relief after the guilty verdict.

Feds also recommended that R. Kelly be jailed for well over 25 years for his crimes. It seems that is exactly what happened now. According to Fox News, R. Kelly was sentenced to 30 years in prison Wednesday after being convicted of racketeering and sex trafficking.

U.S. District Judge Ann Donnelly imposed the sentence on the disgraced singer after a long hearing. Seven of Kelly’s victims gave impact statements during the sentencing hearing.

“You made me do things that broke my spirit. I literally wished I would die because of how low you made me feel. You remember that?

I once lost hope,” she said, addressing the court and prosecutors, “but you restored my faith.”

I was afraid, naive and didn’t know to handle the situation,” she said, so she didn’t speak up at the time.

”Silence,” she said, “is a very lonely place.”

It is safe to say justice has been served, as all of R. Kelly’s victims can finally breathe a sigh of relief. In the end, he is paying for all the heinous things he did, and that’s what matters.
