R Kelly has seen significant career success, but everything has changed. Kelly is engaged in numerous legal proceedings that damaged his reputation forever. It is alleged that R. Kelly engaged “brainwashed” alleged sex slave Joycelyn Savage before sentencing in a sex offense trial that is currently ongoing.

While awaiting a sentence for his sex charges, R. Kelly got engaged. A court document that AllHipHop acquired claims that alleged slave, Joycelyn Savage, disclosed that she is engaged to R. Kelly. In a letter to the judge asking for leniency before his sentencing, Savage mentioned that she is R. Kelly’s fiancée.

R. Kelly was found guilty of racketeering and eight counts of Mann Act violations in September. He will be sentenced in Brooklyn on June 29th. Savage made an effort to present the prison artist in a favorable light. In a letter to Judge Ann Donnelly, she asserted that she is “not the victim” the government has depicted her to be.

“My relationship with Robert is amazing. He’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me. We have a very special connection and are deeply in love. I still support Robert to this day because I love him and will always be here to support him.”

“Robert is not the monster that the government has described him to be. The Robert I know is very sweet, gentle, and kind. At the end of the day, he has always made sure that I’m taken care of, and any other women he was with as well.”

“He takes any opportunity he can to help those in need.”

“He’s very determined and focused on his goals, and the things that have been said about him, with me and other women being held against our will is absolutely untrue. It’s the complete opposite of who he is and what my relationship is like with Robert.”

Savage’s parents are adamant that R. Kelly “brainwashed” her. The alleged victim said she was not tricked by Kelly, but Savage went on to praise R. Kelly in the letter.

“Robert and I are deeply in love, and it breaks my heart that the government has created a narrative that I’m a victim. I’m a grown woman and can speak for myself, which is why I wanted to provide this letter to the court. I respectfully ask that the Court take my words into consideration when sentencing Robert. He is a great man, with a great heart and deserves to be home with his loved ones who are ready to support him.”

R. Kelly has been incarcerated as of 2019. He will go on trial in Chicago in August for alleged obstruction and child pornography. Even if Savage sent a letter, it will be interesting to watch what effects it has. Stay tuned to Thirsty for more information.
