Jodie Sweetin went face to face with the LAPD during a recent protest in favor of abortion rights. The ‘Full House’ star wound up getting roughed up by the cops, She recently spoke up about the scary situation.

Sweetin guest hosted today’s edition of E! News’ Daily Pop. She spoke about her experience during her apperance. Jodie said she doesn’t want to make things about her.

The actress said that she was the victim of a very minor instance of police brutality compared to what she’s seen before. She hopes to keep the issues as the center of attention rather than herself. Jodie noted that she was fortunate to have not been harmed during the incident.

“I was walking and one of the officers just snatched my bag and tossed me forward. We took care of the situation. We didn’t use that as an excuse to do anything further, we continued our march and we were out there probably another four or five hours marching downtown.

Above all, I want to continue to not make this about me and continue to bring the focus back to women’s rights and also police brutality. If people are disturbed by what they saw, let me tell you, I’ve spent a lot of time protesting out in the streets and that is a very minor incident of police brutality.”

Jodie Sweetin was joining thousands to protest the overturning of Roe v. Wade. The Supreme Court’s controversial decision eliminated federal protections for a woman’s right to an abortion. Jodie is more than willing to take a bit of a bump to stand up for what she believes in.
