Christian Bale received acclaim for his portrayal of Batman in Christopher Nolan’s ‘Dark Knight’ trilogy. Nolan has long since moved on from the franchise, which has undergone yet another reboot. While promoting the upcoming ‘Thor: Love and Thunder,’ he indicated that he’d love to revisit his time as the Caped Crusader.

The ‘American Psycho’ star said he made a pact with Chris Nolan after the ‘Dark Knight’ movies. They agreed to limit it to just three films. Christian Bale said that if Nolan ever changed his mind, he’d be game to reprise the role.

Speaking with Screen Rant, Christian Bale said he would be willing to play Batman again. The only condition is that it would have to be Christopher Nolan himself who asked him. Bale is not interested in working on the series with anyone else.

“I had a pact with Chris Nolan. We said, ‘Hey, look. Let’s make three films, if we’re lucky enough to get to do that. And then let’s walk away. Let’s not linger too long.’ In my mind, it would be something if Chris Nolan ever said to himself, “You know what, I’ve got another story to tell,” and if he wished to tell that story with me, I’d be in.”

Christian Bale will make his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Gorr the God Butcher. He will be Thor’s primary villain in the upcoming superhero flick. ‘Love and Thunder’ is set to be released on July 8.

There doesn’t seem to be any interest from Christopher Nolan in restarting his Batman franchise. The role is currently in the hands of Robert Pattinson. If Nolan ever wanted to revisit it, Christian Bale wouldn’t hesitate to sign on.
