‘Blade’ became an unexpected cult classic among action movie fans after its release in 1998. Fans praised Wesley Snipes for his performance ad the infamous vampire hunter. After a couple of underwhelming sequels, the property seemed to disappear from the radar completely.

With the revival in popularity of comic movies thanks to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, some fans have wondered why the Day Walker hasn’t got the big-screen reboot treatment. It isn’t because of Wesley Snipes. He recently told ComicBook.com that he is more than willing to make a comeback under the right circumstances.

“Never say never. Long as I’m healthy and in shape, I can rock with them. Yeah, as far as my predictions on if something like that happened in future, I don’t know. I don’t know. It seems to me if it would’ve happened, it would’ve happened already.

But hey, never say never. No, [Marvel Studios has not approached me] as of yet. I’m still working on my acting skills. So when I come up as an actor, maybe they’ll reach out and say, ‘Let’s have a conversation,’ or maybe they don’t feel I’m ensemble player.”

Wesley Snipes doesn’t think he would be cast, even if there was a Blade reboot. That doesn’t mean he shouldn’t keep the door open. If Tobey Maguire was in a Spider-Man movie in 2021, anything is possible.
