Bill Nye The Science Guy was a huge part of a whole generation’s childhoods. Nye’s kid-friendly show explained the wonders of the universe in a way that easily connected with children. Nye has done a lot of more adult projects since then, with the latest one being marriage.

Nye married journalist Liza Mundy in late May. The news was just recently reported by People. The two were wed in the Enid A. Haupt Garden at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC.

The couple met due to their shared passion for learning and storytelling. Mundy is a New York Times best-selling author. She mentioned Bill Nye’s cryptanalyst mother in one of her books about the female code breakers of World War II.

Bill Nye heard about the book, so he emailed Liza Munday. The two hit it off. The rest is history.
