T.I. is no stranger to controversy. He is still enraged at VH1 for cancelling his family’s reality show after sexual assault allegations went unsolved. The 41-year-old Atlanta rapper addressed the issue over the weekend.
T.I. stated that VH1 has failed to apologize for cancelling T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle after the Los Angeles Police Department launched an investigation into allegations against him and his wife, Tiny Harris, last year. Rather, they waited to see how the investigation played out. T.I. and Tiny were not charged after allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting a lady, according to Radar Online, because the statute of limitations had run out.
Prosecutors said in September that the prosecution against the reality stars over the alleged 2005 incident will be dropped. The pair has consistently disputed the charges, but their denials haven’t helped their reality program stay on the air. T.I. utilized his social media platform over the weekend to criticize his old employer.
I wish TI Family Hustle still came on. @vh1 13 years no loyalty. No Integrity. Just jumped to conclusions. False accusations. No apology. No accountability. No closure. In the name of protecting women…while unfairly, without due process….Subsequently punishing Women??? No problem.
To add insult to injury, T.I. included his 2001 song F—k Em in the backdrop, giving VH1 the ultimate middle finger. T.I.’s post rapidly grabbed popularity, with other celebrities, including his friend and fellow rapper Waka Flocka Flame, leaving comments. The LAPD opened an investigation into the allegations in May 2021, according to Radar Online, after their victim filed a police report alleging the famed couple drugged and raped her over 15 years ago after meeting at a Los Angeles bar.
The purported event in Los Angeles wasn’t the only one to be reported. T.I. and Tiny, whose true names are Clifford and Tameka Harris, respectively, have denied any wrongdoing. All of their encounters, they claimed, were consensual. The pair claimed that their accusers were circulating fake information in order to get celebrity.
