Johnny Depp’s legal drama with Amber Heard concluded with Johnny winning. Amber does not appear to be willing to accept the trial’s result. Amber has now stated that she will stand by every word of her testimony.
Amber Heard has stated that she stands by every word she said throughout her 6-week trial with Johnny Depp. She refers to them as “truth to power.” A fresh portion of her ‘Today’ interview with Savannah Guthrie was released on Tuesday.
In a newly released portion of her Today interview, Amber was seen digging down on her defense yet again, saying that what she testified to actually happened. She also mentioned social media supporting her lawyers’ claims that the jury must have seen it. She even mentioned the sea of Depp admirers she was up against.
Savannah inquired about her thoughts on those who could be disgusted with both of them. Amber explained that she understands, but that what those people may not realize is that this lawsuit was about constitutional rights. Savannah argued that the First Amendment does not protect lies that are defamatory.
Amber appeared to agree completely and stated that she had told no lies. Amber stated that she did the opposite, speaking “truth to power,” as she puts it and that she paid the price. On the question of whether she was “acting,” Amber asks rhetorically how she could compete with one of the greats of this generation hinting Johnny was the one putting on a show.
Savannah also put Amber’s own recorded comments back in her face, in which she admits to striking Johnny and inciting fights. Amber, on the other hand, tells her that they were taken out of context and do not present the complete picture.
Amber is still refusing to give up despite her defeat. Let’s see how things progress. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
