Horatio Sanz became the first Hispanic cast member of Saturday Night Live in September 1998. SNL revealed on September 20, 2006, that Sanz will not be returning due to budget cuts. Horatio is now being sued by a woman who claims Sanz provided her with alcohol and sexually abused her at a party in 2002.
In 2021, a former “Saturday Night Live” intern sued NBC Universal Media, SNL Studios, and former “SNL” cast member Horatio Sanz. She claimed that at a party in 2002, Sanz gave her alcohol and sexually abused her. She stated in an affidavit on Wednesday that cast members Tina Fey, Will Ferrell, and Maya Rudolph witnessed the assault but did nothing.
According to Newsmax, the complainant is a Pennsylvania woman who was between the age of 15 and 17 when the alleged crimes happened. She named several dates when she attended ”SNL” after-parties and was given beer, Champagne, and other alcoholic drinks. In the amended complaint, she also identified then-cast member Jimmy Fallon, claiming that he and Sanz invited her and her friends to these parties.
The lady reported an after-party in May 2002 at which Sanz kissed her, “groped her breast and buttocks, and digitally penetrated her genitals” in front of several cast members of the long-running NBC comedy show. Sanz’s attorney described the claims leveled against his client as “categorically false” and “ludicrous.”
“Before filing this lawsuit anonymously, she demanded $7.5 million in exchange for her silence. We, of course, refused and will vigorously contest these totally meritless claims.”
Let’s see whether SNL and Horatio can clear their names of the accusations made against them. Jimmy Fallon’s name coming up in these stories is also not a good look at all. As of this writing neither side has publicly commented on these accusations. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
