R. Kelly was a reputed artist but his actions put an end to his career. The artist was arrested and convicted guilty of heinous offenses. Feds have recommended that R. Kelly be sentenced to more than 25 years in prison for his sex crimes conviction.

TMZ reports that according to federal prosecutors, R. Kelly should be imprisoned for more than a quarter-century and that’s just for the one case in which he’s been found guilty. Kelly’s sentencing recommendation was just filed by federal prosecutors from the Eastern District of New York, who secured a conviction against him last September. They believe there’s more than enough justification to send him away for “in excess of 25 years.”

The feds claimed that Kelly is particularly dangerous because of his history of seducing kids. Prosecutors pointed out his relationship with Aaliyah, claiming that he “began sexually abusing her when she was just 12 or 13 years old.” Kelly went on to marry her in an attempt to cover up the abuse and avoid criminal charges, as they detailed in the trial.

Kelly’s recordings of child pornography and the “physical and psychological” abuse of women are among the other reasons prosecutors want the judge to throw the book at him. Of course, much of that was described in the documentary “Surviving R. Kelly,” including Kelly forcing women to call him “Daddy,” spankings if they broke his rules, and long periods of seclusion as punishment.

Kelly allegedly knew he had genital herpes in 2004, but continued to have sex with women without telling them, according to the allegations. The feds were especially concerned since Kelly is accused of continuing to do all of these horrible offenses even after he was arrested and tried in 2008. R. Kelly has a long list of hits, which prosecutors said caused him to believe he was invincible.

“His musical talent absolved him of any need to conform his conduct — no matter how predatory, harmful, humiliating or abusive to others — to the strictures of the law.”

Kelly, according to the feds, should be imprisoned until he is far into his 70s. He is 55 years old, and his sentence date has been set for June 29. What are your thoughts on R. Kelly’s malicious act? Stay tuned to Thirsty for more information.
