Elon Musk has been waging war on all the things he dislikes for months. First, he attempted to buy Twitter because he believed the platform was not friendly toward free speech. An attack on Microsoft founder Bill Gates and a turn towards hard-right conservatism followed. Now, Musk is setting his sights on YouTube.

YouTube offers users an endless array of free content on everything from how to tie a shoe to full-length movies. That business model is mostly supported by advertising. In his latest anti-tech rant, the Tesla billionaire threw shade at the kinds of ads being allowed on the platform.

“YouTube seems to be nonstop scam ads”

For just $12 a month, Elon Musk should shut the ads off by subscribing to YouTube Premium. It should be reiterated that Elon is a billionaire. There are also endless free ad-blockers that take seconds to install.

Elon himself has been accused of running several of his own scams. Musk has been using Twitter to manipulate the price of Tesla shares for years. He has also made a fortune by simply using his influence to manipulate otherwise worthless cryptocurrencies.

Time will tell what Elon Musk’s actual beef with YouTube is. At any time, through a variety of means, he can make the ads stop. For a self-styled tech genius, it’s hard to believe he is not aware of those options.
