Petition To Fire Amber Heard From Aquaman 2 Could Just Break Records

The ongoing legal battle between Johnny Depp and ex-wife Amber Heard continues to get messier by the moment. Amber Heard has managed to become public enemy #1 and nothing will change that. This has been reflected in people wanting her fired from ‘Aquaman 2’ as well.

Many fans were elated when it was reported that Amber Heard was fired from her role as Mera in Aquaman 2. However, Heard would prove everyone wrong after hinting that she will be reprising her role as Mera in Aquaman 2. In fact, fans even recently petitioned hard to have Amber Heard removed from the upcoming film, but to no avail.

That does not mean fans have stopped trying to get her kicked from the film. According to TMZ, several million ‘Aquaman’ fans have already decided to exclude her from ‘Aquaman 2’

At this point in time, the petition has more than 4.4 million signatures and will reach 4.5 million, which would make it one of the most signed in Change.org’s history. The online document claims the Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard trial has exposed Heard as a domestic abuser and does not deserve to share the screen with Jason Momoa.

Heard’s character, Mera, only has 10 minutes in the sequel but fans still think that is too long. While Change.org doesn’t carry any weight, fan backlash is something film directors taken into account. As for the trial, deliberations continue today at the Fairfax County Courthouse in Virginia.
