Cardinals CB Jeff Gladney had a bright future ahead of him. Fans were certainly invested in whatever he was doing. Unfortunately, the young athlete has tragically passed away.

Numerous reports have surfaced that former Minnesota Vikings’ cornerback passed away at the age of 25. This tragic news came from Gladney’s former college teammate at TCU and current Philadelphia Eagles’ wide receiver Jalen Reagor.

Lost my Brother, my best friend, my right hand man… ain’t too much more I can take man damn! R.I.P Jeff Gladney, brother watch over me please.

According to Pro Football Focus’s Ari Meriov, the cause of Gladney’s death has not been confirmed. Gladney was selected by the Vikings with the 31st overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

The 25-year-old played in 15 games for Minnesota, recording 81 total tackles, three pass deflections and a forced fumble in his rookie season. He struggles with some injury issues but was let go before Training Camp in 2021 after an incident with his then-girlfriend that saw him charged with assault.
