Jamie Foxx is one talented individual. He is not only known for his singing skills but also his acting, especially his acting in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained. Foxx also extended his help towards Tank when he was ‘kind of homeless.’
Thanks to Tank’s recent extensive interview with Drink Champs, we’ve learnt a lot about his life and profession. The R&B veteran has been in the business for decades. He spoke about a handful of the stories he’s heard along the road.
Tank broke down in tears as he spoke about Aaliyah encouraging him when he was down. He addressed accusations that he was gay because he performed for LGBTQIA+ audiences. Tank also revealed that while he was going through a rough patch in his career, Jamie Foxx was there to make sure he was taken care of when he didn’t have a place to stay.
I’m standing in Jamie Foxx’s kitchen, him and his sister Deidra. And he’s like, ‘What’s going on?’ I said, ‘I ain’t doing nothing, I’m about to go home, I’m about to do the church thing, and move back into my mama’s house. He’s like, ‘You can’t go home, no, you can’t.’ His sister said, ‘Ain’t no way you’re going home, you ain’t going nowhere, we’re gonna fight this.’ At this time, I’m kind of homeless. [Foxx] said, ‘This is what you’re gonna do: You’re gonna use my studio, and you’re going to live in my house until you figure it out.
Noreaga was shocked that Foxx would extend such an invitation. Tank added that if Jamie Foxx didn’t say that, there would be no Sex, Love, & Pain. Check out the entire video below and stick with Thirsty for more updates!
