Will Smith took home the Oscar for best actor and best slap at this year’s Oscar Awards. The consequences of his actions are still being felt. Will Smith was recently absent from a cast event for the relaunch of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” despite working as an executive producer on the show

According to TMZ, Will Smith did not attend an event for Bel-Air in Hollywood with the rest of the cast of NBC’s upcoming relaunch of the Fresh Prince series. Jabari Banks, Coco Jones, Adrian Holmes, and others were among those who showed up. The event was planned to pique the curiosity of Emmy voters ahead of the award season.

Smith, Jada, and Jaden were all present at the premiere of the show in February. Smith hasn’t made any public appearances after infamously hitting Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars ceremony when the comedian made a joke about his wife,

Following the now-famous slap, a number of Smith-led projects were delayed, including the Netflix action picture “Fast and Loose” and “Bright 2.” “Emancipation,” an AppleTV+ film, has also been pushed later to provide more of a buffer from the Academy Awards drama.

Netflix published a new season of David Letterman’s show, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, earlier this month, which included an interview with Smith. Smith eerily claimed to having a vision of his career being damaged during an ayahuasca trip during the sit-down, which was recorded before his Oscars scandal. Smith seems to be currently focused on his mental health above everything.
