Kaley Cuoco became one of the richest women in television history because of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory. She played the role of the fictional character Penny Hofstadter. The Big Bang Theory star has recently revealed that her father was present for every episode’s taping.

Cuoco played Penny in the sitcom, which aired from 2007 to 2019 and featured 289 episodes taped in front of a live studio audience, all of which her father Gary witnessed. Cuoco expressed her admiration for her father’s dedication in an interview on The Late Late Show.

He had a director’s chair with his name on it. He never sat in it. He always stood. And And every night for curtain and bows and for intros, he would be at the top and he would give me a thumbs up. The whole audience ended up doing it. It was like a weekly thing. It was just very special for all of us. I couldn’t do a show without him at that point, it had been years. I kept thinking, ‘You can’t miss one now, you are part of the show.’

Cuoco went on to say that the actors and crew would always give her father a thumbs up. Cuoco showed interest in bringing the actors of The Big Bang Theory back together in a way similar to HBO’s Friends: The Reunion last year. “When I watched, I definitely thought, I would love to do that one day. I would love to do that with our show.”
