Actress Lee Lawson was known for playing 7th Street Boarding House operator Bea Reardon on Guiding Light. She was battling cancer for a long time and also suffering from COVID-19 before his death. The actress has passed away at the age of 81.

Fans of Guiding Light are mourning Lawson’s passing. She starred as Bea Reardon on the CBS soap opera from 1981 through 1990. Leslie Bova, her daughter, broke the terrible news on Facebook, stating that her mother had cancer and COVID-19 before she died.

Lawson was born in New York City on October 14, 1941. She made her television debut in 1965 on CBS’s Love of Life, followed by roles on ABC’s One Life to Live and Guiding Light 1979. She starred in more than 50 episodes of the show, which ended in September 2009.

The show has been on the air for 72 years, making it the second longest-running drama in American television history. Lawson was married to Joseph Bova from 1970 until his death on March 12, 2006. Leslie, Chris, and Gaby are her children, and Gianna, Wilder, and Sterling are her grandchildren. Our deepest condolences to her family. RIP.
