Young Thug, born Jeffery Lamar Williams, is an Atlanta-based rapper who is currently facing various criminal accusations in Georgia. Prosecutors say the Punk album’s creator broke the RICO law. Thugger is now scheduled to be back in court.

Young Thug’s arraignment hearing is set for today May 23, according to WSB-TV. In court, the founder of Young Stoner Life Records will submit a formal plea. Young Thug was arrested by Atlanta police on May 9th.

The 30-year-old artist was charged with Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act Conspiracy as well as Participation in Criminal Street Gang Activity. AllHipHop reported Fani Willis, Fulton County District Attorney talking about the charges.

As the District Attorney of Fulton County my number one focus is targeting gangs, and there’s a reason for that, they are committing conservatively 75% to 80% of all of the violent crime that we are seeing within our community and so they have to be rooted out of our community.

In addition to the RICO and street gang accusations, Young Thug was charged with drug distribution and firearms possession by Fulton County officials. Thug’s lawyer, on the other hand, argued that his client is innocent. Sergio “Gunna” Kitchens, a fellow YSL recording artist, was also arrested on May 11.

The “Drip Too Hard” singer is charged with one count of Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act Conspiracy. Prosecutors have charged over twenty-five Young Stoner Life associates, according to reports. Check out the YouTube videos below.
