Laura “Fancy” Sanko has been watching the drama unfold between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard just like the rest of us. The former MMA fighter turned UFC analyst recently threw a little shade at Heard after a round of sparring got a little out of hand. Sanko shared a photo of her heavily bruised face after the training session, and some followers thought it looked all too familiar.

A follow-up post on Instagram showed Sanko with her black eye and bruising completely vanished. Laura thanked her makeup artist for the fantastic job. You really can’t tell she was beaten up.

In her post, Laura Sanko said that she has heard from a lot of “experts” in the comments about treating and covering bruises. Laura then went on to thank Amber Heard for making the issue a matter of public concern. Heard famously testified that her makeup artist helped cover bruising from alleged abuse by Johnny Depp.

“Can we all give a round of applause to the amazing @cgartistry? This was me last night and this was me camera ready after she went to work on me this morning. I knew she would save me but even I was blown away!!! The bruise coloring was very deep and she took her time and made it literally disappear! She truly is an artist in every sense of the word. I was a challenging canvas this morning

Thank you for being the best and for being an amazing friend on top of it all. Also thank you to all the fans who are clearly watching the Johnny Depp trial because the number of people who are experts on treating/covering bruises now is truly amazing

Thanks Amber Heard. (For those that haven’t been watching my stories…I had an extra chippy sparring round with one of the smaller guys at the gym and got cracked)”

Despite the shade, Laura Sanko’s makeup team truly did a phenomenal job. Followers would never have known she had a black eye if she hadn’t shared it. Laura just couldn’t resist a mention of America’s largest legal circus when the chance was there.
