Sir Mick Jagger achieved international fame as the lead vocalist and one of the founder members of the Rolling Stones. His songwriting partnership with Keith Richards is one of the most successful in history. Harry Styles is frequently compared to Mick Jagger because of their on-stage swagger and often androgynous dress choices. That being said, Mick isn’t about that comparison.

The Rolling Stones frontman told The Sunday Times that Styles merely bears a “superficial resemblance to my younger self.” Jagger doesn’t have anything against Styles, who he admires and with whom he has a “easy relationship.” Jagger said that he was much more androgynous than Styles is now.

I like Harry — we have an easy relationship, I mean, I used to wear a lot more eye make-up than him. Come on, I was much more androgynous. And he doesn’t have a voice like mine or move on stage like me; he just has a superficial resemblance to my younger self, which is fine — he can’t help that.

Styles’ third studio album, “Harry’s House,” was released on May 20th. It’s very much a continuation and growth of its predecessor. That would be “Fine Line” from 2019, which received positive reviews and garnered Styles a Grammy for the song “Watermelon Singer.”

For his stage dancing and flashy tour clothes, Styles’ “Fine Line” era earned him comparisons to Mick Jagger. Harry Styles is also rumored to appear on Lizzo’s upcoming album. Check out Styles’ latest album below.
