The idea that gun laws in America need tweaked is an age-old conversation. Sadly, we have yet another terrible tragedy, just one day after 10 people were killed in Buffalo in a clearly-related race driven attack.

The New York Times reports that another shooting broke out in America, but this time it took place in California during a church social. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that a shooting occured at Geneva Presbyterian Church in Laguna Woods, California.

One suspect was detained at the scene, and a possible weapon was also recovered. It sounds like there was only one shooter in this instance. The shooter’s motive is also unknown at this time.

It is reported that six people were shot, four of whom are in critical condition. One person was pronounced dead after arriving at the hospital. All victims are adults, and they are being treated for their injuries.

H Jenkins

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
