Alfonso Riberio is, of course, mostly known for playing Carlton on the hit 90s show The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air. That being said, he is fed up with fans asking him to do the ‘The Carlton.’

Carlton was a funny character who was mocked for his musical tastes and dance moves. His famous dance move was “The Carlton” which is still mimicked by thousands of fans event today.

Some fans are still constantly nagging Ribeiro to do the dance whenever they see him in public and this makes him very uncomfortable, being a Black guy.

Ribeiro attended the Jimmy Kimmel Live show where he explained, “I’m a Black guy, I’m just not dancing for you. It’s not gonna happen. What makes you think that you just gonna ask a random person to dance for you, and they’re gonna be like ‘Oh my God, I’ve been waiting for you to ask! Hold on a second, let me get into character.’ It’s not — I don’t get it. It’s not gonna happen.”

Jimmy agreed with Ribeiro on this and said that it is wrong for fans to feel so entitled. Fan behavior can indeed be typical at times. However, fans must get the message from the show and not embarrass Ribeiro again. You can check out a clip from The Jimmy Kimmel Show below!
