Game four of the NBA Western Conference semifinals series saw a very creepy interaction between Chris Paul’s Family and the two fans. Those fans were soon escorted out of the arena. The situation has now received an update with heavy consequences for the fans involved.

As noted earlier, the game was attended by Suns point guard Chris Paul’s mom and wife, Jada, and their two children. The two fans placed their hands on his mother and also pushed his wife. That did not fly.

After the incident, the two fans were removed from the arena, and an investigation regarding the matter started which has now concluded. The fans have been banned from American Airlines Center until 2023. You can read the full statement from Dallas Mavericks below.

American Airlines Center and Dallas Mavericks security and executives have concluded the investigation into the incident involving the Paul family. Two unruly fans attempted to give unwanted hugs and have conversations with members of the Paul family on the public concourse of American Airlines Center. AAC security responded immediately once notified by the family and the fans were swiftly ejected from the game. The fans involved in the incident will not be allowed to return to the arena until 2023.

The game between the Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks ended with Mavericks’ 111-101 victory to tie the series. Still, it wasn’t really a pleasant experience for the league. Following the incident lot of security concerns have been raised. It remains to be seen what measures they come up with to prevent something like this in the future.
