50 Cent is well-known in the hip-hop industry for his influence and has been termed a “master of the nuanced art of lyrical brevity.” Teairra Marie is continuously being chastised by 50 Cent for failing to pay the court-ordered judgment. Now, 50 Cent’s legal fight with Love & Hip Hop star Teairra Mari over a nearly $50,000 debt has reached a new roadblock.

According to Radar Online, the reality star eventually appeared in court for a financial examination. 50 Cent has been looking for her for months and even had to hire a private investigator at one point. Mari originally sued her ex-boyfriend for publishing an explicit photo of her online, as well as 50 Cent for sharing the image.

The rapper claimed that the shot had already gone viral by the time he posted it. The judge agreed with 50 and rejected all of his claims. Mari then gave the entrepreneur $30k to pay his attorney fees.

50 has been attempting to collect on money for over a year but has been unsuccessful. He accused her of failing to appear in court and even refusing to turn over her bank statements. Mari’s unwillingness to cooperate earned the Power producer about $20k in additional fees. Mari appeared via Zoom at the recent hearing and eventually gave over at least a chunk of her financial statements.

In a new filing, 50 stated that he discovered Mari had no stable residence but “states that she recently moved to Georgia to stay with a friend in search of work.” Mari “claims to have virtually no assets and virtually no sources of income and not have had any kind of employment since late 2019.” The reality star said in court that she earns a “minimal income” through sponsored Instagram posts.

Mari also informed the court that she started her own skincare company, “Hunniface,” but has only made a minimal income. When asked about her financial sources, Mari told 50’s lawyer that she was solely looking for work in the entertainment sector and  “has no interest in a “nine to five” job.” Mari stated she was open to a payment plan to “satisfy the judgment,” but she didn’t provide any particular details.

50 said he “remains open to any such proposal, though it is difficult to understand how [Mari] would begin making payments while claiming that she has no income and no assets.” The rapper stated that he will continue to look for Mari’s assets. He will also be seeking additional legal fees for having to drag the VH1 star back to court.
