For many fans and pro wrestlers, Triple H is a legend in the world of professional wrestling. He has done a lot or the industry and fans are pro wrestlers alike appreciate him for that. Triple H also refused to let WWE talent work unscripted promos.

Nowadays in WWE, most Superstars are always handed a script which they have to remember and speak as part of their promos. A large section of the WWE Universe is not a fan of scripted promos as they feel it highly restricts the characters of WWE Superstars.

While speaking on Talk Is Jericho, Swerve Strickland talked about his time in WWE NXT. Strickland revealed that Triple H refused to let him follow scripted promos in NXT.

“We did Great American Bash and we [Strickland and Leon Ruff] had a blow-off match. That’s when Hit Row was introduced. I was cutting promos in the studio backstage and Triple H was like ‘Nope – take away the script. Don’t let him use the script anymore.’ So I was like ‘cool’

Lately, some WWE Superstars are given more freedom in their promos, so we will have to see if the company will eventually be more lenient with their scripts.
