DaBaby has maintained that he was merely defending himself after shooting an invader on his property in mid-April. The rapper was irate after initial media reports failed to get the story straight. After an investigation, authorities have decided not to charge DaBaby with any crime.

TMZ obtained legal documents relating to the matter. Iredell County’s District Attorney said the case has been reviewed. The decision was made, based on the evidence, to not pursue charges.

The shooting occurred after a man scaled DaBaby’s walls. He was eventually hit with a non-fatal shot in the leg. DaBaby said it was his decision not to take the intruder’s life.

911 audio from the day of the shooting painted a picture of a calm and collected DaBaby. The man he shot could be heard screaming in the background. DaBaby was confident that he had done nothing wrong.

It was the second shooting that DaBaby has been in the headlines for recently. A 2018 incident inside a Walmart was caught on video. That video recently went viral.

DaBaby’s self-defense argument was good enough for the police and prosecutors. Now, he will get back to his normal life. For those who follow the headlines, they know that Baby’s definition of normal is very different from most people’s.
