Ja Morant took over Tuesday night’s game two in the first-round NBA playoff series between Memphis and Golden State. Morant dropped a whopping 48 point, 8 assist, and 8 rebound line on the Warriors. Memphis evened up the series at one game apiece, and Ja had some choice words for Steph Curry when it was all said and done.

After Memphis’ 106-101 win, Ja Morant was caught on video approaching Steph Curry. Morant had plenty to say as Curry walked past. Microphones didn’t pick up what he said, but fans can certainly imagine that it was not a friendly exchange.

Ja Morant came extremely close to making a game-winning basket during the first matchup. With their backs against the wall, he led the Grizzlies to a gritty win. Curry finished with an also-impressive 27 points, 8 assists, and 9 rebounds, but that wasn’t enough to get the victory.

Steph and the Warriors will return to their home court for Saturday’s game three. Thus far, both games have been incredibly entertaining and competitive. Morant is trying to get the mental edge in what otherwise seems like an evenly matched competition.

Golden State has the benefit of experience on its side. Steph Curry and the Warriors have been here before. The young Memphis team is relying on a hungry group to topple Steph and his crew.

Saturday will decide who has the advantage in what has been one of the most entertaining first-round NBA playoff battles. It’s youth versus experience. We will see if Ja Morant can put his money where his mouth is.
