Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s ongoing defamation trial has only worsened how people feel about her. Fans from around the globe got together to sign a certain petition against the actress. It seems fans are vying for Amber Heard’s Aquaman role to be cut short and petitions are flooding in.

All of the evidence points to Amber Heard being the villain of the story in her trial against Johnny Depp, and fans want her to lose her career as much as it has harmed Johnny Depp’s. The ‘Aquaman’ franchise is arguably one of Warner Bros.’ most successful right now, and it’s also one of the few to have surpassed $1 billion at the box office.

For years, there have been rumors that Amber Heard might lose her role as Mera as a result of the ongoing scandal. People are convinced she does not deserve to continue playing the comic-book character now that they know more details about it. In fact, fan fiction depicts actress Emilia Clark possibly taking on her role in the future.

While the Cinema Con was still in full swing, news of the new ‘Aquaman’ sequel began to filter through to all major news outlets. There is confirmation that Amber Heard had only 10 minutes of screen time in the recent screening that some members of the press saw recently.

According to the initial report from film critic Grace Randolph, this was purely a technical decision unrelated to the current trial situation. However, as events progress, everything for the actress can change in the blink of an eye. She may lose her role entirely and be cut from the final cut of the film.

More reports of the same situation began to emerge in the afternoon, with more than 2 million signatures on Change.org demanding that Amber Heard be completely removed from the film. We all know that petitions aren’t as effective as some people believe, but this could be a huge exception.

Warner Bros.’ main goal is to get as many moviegoers as possible into theatres, and they will go to any length to achieve that goal. We still have to wait to hear what the actress tells the jury, but there is no set date for her to take the stand. While this is going on, everything is moving at Warner, and life-changing decisions about her future with the company are just around the corner.
