GI Joe was a staple for anyone who loved fast-paced action in the 1980s. The show was a cultural phenomenon that still lives on to this day. A popular cartoon, movies, and most importantly, action figures made GI Joe irresistible to kids who couldn’t get enough. Since then, it’s been rebooted as a live-action movie franchise and the toy line is still going strong.

Hasbro recently announced that Sgt. Slaughter will be returning to the GI Joe universe. Slaughter was famously featured in the GI Joe cartoon as a major character. Now, the Sarge is getting a new action figure. Hasbro announced the new deal on Twitter.

“OK, at ease, and listen up Maggots. This is Sgt. Slaughter, special drill instructor for GI Joe, the real American hero. I’m here to share some top-secret intelligence with you. The GI Joe team is up running stronger than ever with a new line of six-inch action figures.

I’m very proud to announce to you that I, Sgt. Slaughter, have been called back to active duty by the Joe Command to once again train the greatest heroes that have ever fought. So, you Cobra clowns better look out, because I have re-enlisted with Hasbro, and we’re taking no prisoners.

These classified recruits are good. And I’ll make sure they stay that way. Now hear this, maggots. I want you to watch this digital sneak peek of the toughest GI Joe classified action figure ever… Me, Sgt. Slaughter! Have I made myself clear?”

The new 6-inch Sgt. Slaughter action figure is set to come out later this year. The WWE legend has been depicted in action figure form several times over the years. GI Joe fans can’t wait to get their hands on the latest.
